What is R.E.A.P.?
R.E.A.P. is an organization that brings together farmers, small scale food processors and local business for the purposes of:
- exchanging information
- providing a support network
- sharing successful projects and ideas
- managing markets for members to sell their products
- problem solving
- making new friends
In 1987 R.E.A.P. grew out of the need for interaction and peer support among rural entrepreneural participants in a Farming Alternatives workshop.
The Olean Farmers' Market was opened in May 1990. The following year the group expanded to Salamanca. Today the organization also has a market in Franklinville.
